In an article entitled 'Que faire ce week-end au Luxembourg', L'Essentiel Online (http://www.lessentiel.lu/) states about the Liquid bar that "The bar in the Grund has not been sold and the interior is not being demolished, contrary to what some rumors and even a petition have stated." (L’établissement du Grund n’a pas été vendu et l’intérieur n’est pas en cours de démolition, contrairement à ce qu’affirment certaines rumeurs et même une pétition.).

We believe this statement to be both inaccurate and misleading.

- 'The interior is not being demolished' : save-liquid.org has never stated that the bar's interior was about to be demolished.

- 'The bar in the Grund has not been sold' : save-liquid.org has never stated that the bar got sold, although this is partly true, cf. notice 2013004441/24 of the Official Journal, appendix C.

Save-liquid.org's statement (cf. http://www.save-liquid.org/index.php) was that "The bar counter ... (was) ... about to be demolished and replaced with a new counter (because) the new management (wanted) to install more fridges that (didn't) fit under the (then-existing) counter." This statement was based on first-hand information about the then-existing plans to redesign the bar and not on 'rumors'.

Save-liquid.org takes note with appreciation that the Liquid bar counter has eventually been preserved, in accordance with the wish of 92.1% of its visitors who took part in the online poll, and of the 181 visitors who signed the online petition.

Dans un article intitulé "Que faire ce week-end au Luxembourg", L'Essentiel Online (http://www.lessentiel.lu/) affirme à propos du bar Liquid que "L’établissement du Grund n’a pas été vendu et l’intérieur n’est pas en cours de démolition, contrairement à ce qu’affirment certaines rumeurs et même une pétition".

Nous sommes d'avis que cette affirmation est à la fois inexacte et de nature à prêter à confusion.

- "L’intérieur n’est pas en cours de démolition" : save-liquid.org n'a jamais affirmé que l'intérieur du bar allait être démoli.

- "L’établissement du Grund n’a pas été vendu" : save-liquid.org n'a jamais indiqué que le bar avait été vendu, même si celà est en partie vrai, cf. publication 2013004441/24 au Mémorial C.

L'affirmation de Save-liquid.org (cf. http://www.save-liquid.org/index.php) était que "Le comptoir du bar (était) sur le point d'être démoli et remplacé par un nouveau comptoir (parce que) la nouvelle direction du bar (avait) l'intention d'installer des frigos supplémentaires qui (n'entraient) pas sous le comptoir (tel qu'il était)" ("The bar counter ... (was) ... about to be demolished and replaced with a new counter (because) the new management (wanted) to install more fridges that (didn't) fit under the (then-existing) counter."). Cette affirmation était basée sur des informations de première main concernant les projets de transformation du bar tels qu'ils étaient à ce moment et non sur des "rumeurs".

Save-liquid.org note avec satisfaction que le comptoir du Liquid a finalement été préservé, conformément au souhait de 92.1% des internautes ayant pris part au sondage en ligne, et des 181 personnes ayant signé la pétition en ligne.
